Hey, Iâm Megan Hensley, The Donkey Farrier! Iâve been trimming donkey hooves for nearly 20 years, and Iâve heard it allâ"Owners shouldnât trim their own donkeys," "Donkeys are too difficult," "Just sedate them and get it over with." Nope. I refuse to accept that.
I started teaching donkey owners how to trim because I saw firsthand how hard it was to find a donkey-friendly farrier, how many donkeys were suffering from preventable hoof issues, and how overwhelming it felt for owners to not know how to help.
